How to actually achieve your monthly goals and not just hope for the best

I'm sharing an oldie but goodie video today; the principles guide me at the beginning of every month, or whenever I set goals.

I love assigning a time frame to goals; it gives me a focus. As someone who loves variety but also results; I have found labelling my 'focus' extremely beneficial... i.e this month is all about x.

However at the beginning of a planning session, sometimes it can be difficult to estimate how much time (also energy, money!) a project or a goal is going to take because maybe you haven't done it before so you are guessing everything. Or it is only when you move into motion that all the hidden costs (time, money, energy) reveal themselves.

Often there can be a realisation that the assigned time frame/resources/budget is wildly ambitious so the plan must be revised.

Heart and motivation can be lost during if the results are lagging; but we mustn't lose hope. We have to assess quickly, maybe pivot and make adjustments and then go again. We have to shed and shake off the notion that goals and dreams fit nicely into neat, little pockets. Many don't and that's ok.

I also want to acknowledge those goals that have been lurking for a long time. Perhaps they were at the top of your list at the beginning of the year and yet as the months have gone on they have begun to slide down your priority list.

Some of that may be circumstantial; perhaps this year has taken an unexpected turn that has required a different version of you or how you spend your time.

Or perhaps the reality of moving forward and into action is not as appealing as the vision board stage.

Today's video will give you a ten point framework; perfect for reconnection, noticing what is happening, what you want you and where your gaps are....
