Hire me as a speaker

Speaking to a live audience (online or in person) is one of my favourite things to do.

I am a professionally trained actor with over 30 years of public speaking experience.

I have worked extensively in the mainstream media and digital world building my podcast

(regularly featured on the top 100 #careers iTunes charts)

I am a story teller and I love breaking down concepts in an engaging and transformative manner.

I deliver excellent open questions and frequently hear attendees say

‘Ohhh now that makes so much sense, I’ve never heard it said like that before’.

I rarely share formulas or 'one size fits all' - this about you.

My intention is always to be generous and share an abundance of information, tools and exercises that you can apply to your own business and life and add your own flavour too.

I bring warmth, energy and kindness to everything I do because I want you to have a great experience.

I am also very practical and support you through the next steps'; because I don’t want you to just learn and know the thing… I want you to do and be the thing!

You won’t hear wishy washy 'life coachy' rambles… this is about you not me. Q and A is one of my favourite parts; I love those aha moments of you revealing what’s next.

My training + experience:

I trained at the Coaching Academy and completed a diploma in Performance Performance Coaching in 2013.

I trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and gained a BA in performance. I also won the Jim Broadbent scholarship - gifted by the man himself after my audition.

Over the last decade I have worked with:

Founders, creatives, journalists, leaders, stylists, speakers, CEOs, digital experts, healers, teachers, medical professionals. RuIe makers (lawyers) and rule breakers (monetising non traditional careers; curating a portfolio career on their terms) innovators, technology trailblazers, dreamers, foodies, raconteurs, game changers, artists, designers, storytellers, strategists, wellbeing experts, band members who want to become solo artists (aka 9-5ers to want to create their own gig). I am constantly surprised and delighted with the variety of people, I have the honour of working with.

I launched my podcast in 2018 and since created nearly 1000 episodes. It is frequently on the top 100 iTunes business podcasts and listened to worldwide. It has been downloaded over 250k times.

As a speaker; I have worked with BBC, Google, Stylist Magazine, Stylist Live, Nat West, MTV, The Collective, The Olympic Village, Huckletree, Digital Mum, Arcadia, Citizen M, The Townhall, Shoreditch, Kingston University and many more.

As an actor; I have worked across television, film, theatre and commercials internationally.

As a content creator; I have written for The Stage, Motherland, Koru Kids, Digital Mums, Clementine App, Dettol, Zooki, Make Motherhood Diverse, Selfish Mother and Raising Films.

I have been interviewed on numerous podcasts including Lifetise, Live Three Sixty, Motherkind, 365 Day Social, Pause Purpose Play, The Creativity Campus Podcast.

I have hosted many workshops delivered for; Century Club, The Conscious Beauty Union, Hunter Collective, Build your Brand with PR, Iconic Offices, Heaps + Stacks.

My flavour, style and delivery:

  • To be useful: I create my talks with that specific audience in mind (my talks are always bespoke and tailored to who is receiving them). My intention is always support the audience so they know what to do next. I love inspiring and motivating but that is only half my job; I want you to implement. I share tangibles so you know what to do next and see results.

  • To break down concepts: I pride myself on being able to communicate and engage with my audiences so they have access to a plethora of tools. I use stories to bring these concepts to life. I have often felt 'self development' or 'business chat' can be delivered in an elitist, inaccessible manner. However I want it to be inclusive so everyone can create momentum.

  • I give full permission for you to pic 'n' mix what you need and then leave the rest. I rarely offer a step by step 'this is what you MUST do' formula because I believe there are so many variables that are co existing alongside our goals.

  • Insightful questioning. I have so many questions for you with the hope that you get many answers. I love creating the time and space for you to explore what you want to be, do, have and feel. I offer life and business sessions and hold huge value on you as the individual so you can define your version of success.

  • Turning up the brightness. One of my favourite moments in a speaking setting is when I see someone gain clarity. I love to support people to find the specifics; to get clear on the detail so they can become focused in their actions. My exercises always offer an opportunity to 'turn up the brightness' - in everyday life, we are all so busy, we often don't get the chance to stop and take stock.

How I can help:

Being in person in a live setting with a lively audience is one of my favourite ways to spend some time; however the pandemic changed requirements and opened up so many other opportunities. It also changed my business. I had my busiest year of speaking all around the world from my desk at home in London. There was such a need for connection; for clarity, for answers, for information.

I am London based but regularly travel nationally and internationally; so just let me know your requirements.

I am comfortable on large stages, intimate group chats, holding space for 100s on an online workshop or a fast and furious Q and A and lots of settings in between.

My talks are bespoke (although I have shared a few examples below to draw from).

I would love to be able to give your audience what they need and meet them where they are at, so everything will be tailored.

This will all be discussed and confirmed in our first meeting, so I can plan and fully prep.

Examples of my talks:

How I can contribute to your event/team/organisation/audience/community:

Example One:

Designing your next chapter; refining and defining your vision of success and making it happen...

Everything that you would like to be, do, have and feel will be easier to welcome into your life and business when you know exactly what it is for you.

However most of us are so busy and consumed in our day to day life and to do list that we rarely zoom in.

This workshop works well with audiences of all sizes and in both offline and in person settings.

I have big, insightful questions for you that will unlock your juiciest (and often most honest) answers.

Plus we will make the process personal. I don't want you to simply feel inspired and have some 'wouldn't it be cool if?" pretty pictures of random, unnamed beaches. I want you to know why you want what you want. So your vision has to be activated and rooted in integrity, connection and alignment.

We know that time moves fast; so this process is ultimate check in. To reconnect with yourself and then take your steps purposefully towards a version of you; your future self is going to be proud of.

Example Two:

How to monetise your personal brand, so it pays you when you are working and when you are not.

Money is not the only currency of success; although it is an important and necessary part of the conversation.

Many of us want and need so much more... and on our terms.

Freedom, flexibility, creativity. We need to pay attention and optimise for a career that works with our personalities, circumstances, goals and capacity.

Whether you are starting from scratch, rebuilding after a pivot, or elevating your personal brand to new levels; this workshop will meet you where you are.

How to combine your skills to forge your own unique career path. Pricing, packaging, selling. How to market yourself, how to create variation and consistency. How to be an approachable expert in your field with flexibility to scale.

AND passive income; how can you make money when you are working and when you are not.

Example Three:

How to build a dazzling digital disco and invite your dream dancers aka your ideal clients to visit (and buy!) 24/7

Things I don't want to do - cold calls, sliding into people's DMs, pushing, sleazing selling, always feeling as though I have to be 'on' all the time and document every part of my life; when I just want to be present with my family... and neither do my clients.

In this workshop; I show you how to build a content first marketing strategy that works with your lifestyle and suits the convenience of your clients...

We start with clarity and remove the vagueness and mystery... who are you, what do you have to sell, who are trying to sell to and why are you the person for the role.

The know, like and trust factor always leads and you designing your business in a way that feels great to you and connects with your clients.

Example Four:

How to build a visibility rhythm that helps you to exceed your business goals without burn out

I have been monetising my speaking for over 25 years and it has never just been limited to the stage. With the wonderful introduction of the internet; we have infinite visibility opportunities.

It starts with you first. Making a choice and being clear about your style, your intention and your value.

Often this workshop is more practical; you get better at speaking... by speaking.

As always a safe, inclusive, caring environment is held so the attendees can experiment, have a go, try something new etc.

Example Five:

Rebuilding present you; so you make your future self proud...

'What's got you here, won't get you here...'

This workshop is perfect for you as an individual, or for your team or your brand. I know you have big goals and you want to meet them. This highly bespoke workshop will offer the time and space to build your 'success' pic n' mix toolkit. We delve into mindset piece of the puzzle; looking at habits, behaviours, beliefs, daily routines, language and communication. Your strategy and vision are likely to be clear, so we will give focus and attention to what is going on underneath the spreadsheets and objectives so you can be the best you can be.

My book

Be Ready for your Lucky Break is the book that I was searching for when I left drama school and in my life as a professional actor.

Throughout my career, there have been times when I have felt confused, stuck and unsure.

I have been a professional actor for over twenty years and I was a London theatrical agent for five years so I am able to offer a perspective that encompasses both sides of the industry.

As a qualified personal performance coach, I want to help you to make it happen and for you to get results.

This book will help you to get back on track, to create a plan to follow and ultimately design the career you want.

The statement I most frequently hear from actors is 'I don't know what to do'.

I help you to focus on what it is you want so you can begin to open the doors that may have been difficult to open.

The strategies you will find in the book are super practical and will help you to unlock the next steps for you. I don't believe in a 'one size fits all' method so as the reader, you will begin to uncover how you work best so you can accelerate your cast rate and success.

This step by step guide looks at your life as an actor holistically so you can combine the auditions and creativity with the practicalities of daily life.

Full of creatively designed exercises, not only will you know what to do next, you will be back in the driving seat of your own career so you can create success on your own terms.
