Being a mum of a two year old son and working across a variety of platforms/projects she can also share tips on how to start a personal brand, how to keep motivated and do the hustle so you create your ideal opportunities.
In today's episode I talk to Suzie Bartle, Founder of Well Spirited PR. An international PR agency that helps conscious people and brands share their stores in the media.
Suzie Bartle is mostly known as the colourful Publicist sporting purple hair and bright colours on Instagram. She has worked with household brands from Dove to British Airways through to more holistic brands such as Hay House and Vita Coco. After working in PR and Marketing for over 12 years on award-winning brand campaigns from Dove Real Women through to 2012 London Olympics she decided to open the doors on her very own style of PR agency - Well Spirited PR. In her own words - this was a completely unplanned turn of events encouraged by Elizabeth Gilbert's book Big Magic. Although, as often is the way with these things - Suzie fondly reflects on the career clues showing up very early on from fondly remembering spending spare pocket money on magazines at aged 8 and often running late for school whilst reading that day's The Times of all things! In 2005 she graduated with a BA(hons) degree in Public Relations and despite a thriving career in London's PR scene she was struck down with ill health in her 20s through a diagnosis of Crohns Disease. This sent her on a entirely different journey seeing life through a different lens with long periods of being unable to work and to only discover the glossy magazines she so fondly read on the daily really weren't true life. And where were the real stories in the media? So a few twist and turns later Well Spirited PR was officially born in June 2016 boasting client placements on Loose Women, Vogue, The Times, BBC News, CNBC and so much more.
