It’s that time of year
If you have known of me and my work for a while, you know that I do my planning for the following year in November. My birthday is on the 9th November and for me that time feels perfect to reflect and plan the year ahead.
When I spoke at Stylist Live this year (watch here), I shared why we shouldn’t make our resolutions on January 1st. We may be hungover, full of wine, cheese, chocolate (or all), we’ve have had a ropey night’s sleep, it is often cold and wet outside and we are craving a nap. This is not conducive to planning ‘our best year ever’.
So I do the bulk of the planning now, I map things out and then make tweaks in January, which helps me build momentum (and therefore results) because I feel ahead of the game.
