A few year back I heard Laura Vanderkamn talk about what successful people do before breakfast.
Success and breakfast are two widely discussed words.
Let’s discuss the easier- breakfast. For many it is an essential start to the day, a meal that is used to fire them up for the coming hours or to ease the recovery from the night before.
Or for some, it can signify the alarm going off, a below average coffee and a hurried bowl of cornflakes. From a banana scoffed on the bus to the full works, breakfast can vastly differ depending on the day and our mind set.

Success is far more subjective and every changing. Success can be winning the long -winded negotiation or much deserved promotion. But sometimes, making a particularly yummy dinner without the need for ketchup, a great, spontaneous conversation or a high round of bejeweled blitz can equally be as pleasing.
I am interested in what success is for you and what it looks like.
What makes you successful?
Sometimes through the media and those around us, we can feel pressured to believe we should be doing more or doing things differently. Sure, someone may start the day with a 5 miles run and some egg whites, but that’s not to say you should if you are going to feel a little dicey for the rest of the day.
I believe the greatest success comes when there is alignment, establishing what works for you and then carrying it out.
Here are 5 ways that may help you to become more successful.
Feel free to grab a pen and paper or your lap top or just ask yourself the following.
What does your ideal successful day look like? How do you feel? How do you look? What are you wearing? What are people saying to you? Why is it ideal?
Create the picture in your head of your most successful self.
Think about a recent day when you were successful. What happened? What were the series of events?
Note down the exact process- was it something you said, how your reacted, how your prepared?
Name one item, music that makes you feel like you can take over the world.
Find it and put it somewhere you can access easily.
What is hindering your success?
What is getting in the way? Do you lack time or motivation? Or perhaps you don’t feel you can actually do the task?
Outline what is happening for you or alternatively book a session to kick start your progress and get you on track
Start to think outside the box and start to think about how you can make tomorrow more successful
Note 3 action steps you are going to take you closer to your idea of success.
