Interview with Jade Ireland | Bellota Baby

What do you do? How would you describe your working life?

I am founder of Bellota Baby, we produce and sell fresh, natural baby & toddler food

It starts at 5.00am before my tiny ones (1&3year old) wake up, checking emails, social media and dealing with house/book keeping.

After nursery drop off at 8.00am a run around Hampstead Heath.

The morning is spent cooking, the afternoon speaking to retailers, suppliers, web creatives, printers etc and the evenings packaging and delivering our yummy goods.

Did you show any early signs as a child that indicated that you would end up where you are today?

Very much so, I used to play ‘boss lady’ as a child…her name was Mrs Dobbs…in fact my Mother has one of Mrs Dobb’s letters framed in her downstairs loo!

My mother was also ahead of her time with what she fed my brother and I, we had organic ketchup back in 1985! She also didn’t trust the new wave of sugary cereals and never let us near an antibiotic and you know, she was RIGHT!

Describe your morning routine

Full on.

Where do you get your ideas/inspiration from and when do they arrive?

I read loads of different cook books, have been on several cooking and nutritional courses and I am an avid instagramer!
